MIDI keyboard works through USB but not Bluetooth

I am trying to get my Akai LPK25 Wireless MIDI keyboard to connect so that I can use it with Musescore.

I had alsa and pipewire installed already, which had always given me fully working sound (web, multimedia & Musescore). I installed fluidsynth, soundfont-fluid and alsa-utils which allowed Musescore to list the Akai LPK25 Wireless in the Midi Input dropdown when I connected it via USB. That works perfectly & I can use it to enter/play notes properly. However, I just can't manage to get it working through bluetooth (bluez, blueman, bluez-alsa-git - even tried bluez-utils-compat but it didn't help). If I pair it normally, Musescore doesn't list it under the Midi Inputs dropdown. I'm sure that I'm missing something simple, but this is the first Bluetooth LE device that I've owned & tried to connect.

recently considering purchase a midi keyboard with bluetooth connection, and googled to here.

from this [reaper thread](https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=257526), [gattlib](https://pypi.org/project/gattlib/) should works.
