Silent splash help..[solved]

I've followed the gensplash wiki...Am running with the beyond kernel. and I do have the silentsplash initscripts as well..

Silent splash kinda works. I get the silent image, it says 'initializing kernel' in the bottom...the next thing I see is X starting.

No progress bar, no ability to push f2 to get verbose mode like in other distros, and no update to the text at the bottom..stays at 'init kernel' the whole bootup process...

Is there a fix for this or is this currently how silent splash works on arch?

Optional Install patched initscripts to support silent splash

# pacman -S initscripts-gensplash
