Blank screen after full system upgrade

Hi, I did a full system upgrade yesterday using pacman -Syu and rebooted immediately after it was done. However, upon logging in, I am now greeted by this screen.
I couldn't find anything in my journalctl either.
Any ideas?

I'm having a similar issue. Full system upgrade, and now it won't get to GDM.

This is a Surface Pro 6 (surface-linux) running Wayland and onboard intel graphics. I've disabled/removed all gnome extensions.

I've reset dconf completely and tried reinstalling gnome, but no luck so far.

Not sure if that will fix it for me unfortunately since I use KDE with sddm. Or might the same thing have happened with sddm?
