I have a Ryzen 9 (7900). I built my machine using a Streamcom DB4 case which uses passive cooling and can only support up to 65W TDP. Apparently this processor can go up to 88W, and Zoom (it's always goddamn Zoom) basically drove it up there and the BIOS shut it down because the CPU got too hot.
I have looked at the Wiki pages on frequency scaling and also on Ryzen -- the former seems to be mostly about Intel CPUs and about overclocking. I just want to be able to limit the TDP to 65W.
I have tried using the ryzenadj (https://github.com/FlyGoat/RyzenAdj) programme listed in the Wiki, but I get the following error:
~ > sudo ryzenadj --stapm-limit=65000 --fast-limit=65000 --slow-limit=65000 --tctl-temp=84
Fam19h: unsupported model 97
Only Ryzen Mobile Series are supported
Unable to init ryzenadjHow can I limit the power of the processor to keep it within limits?

In BIOS - at least on ASUS it is in Precision Boost Overdrive --> AMD ECO Mode --> 65W

Thanks. Took a bit of digging but found it eventually.
