I recently ran into this error
https://github.com/Jguer/yay/issues/2508
when trying to use yay, so I attempted to remove and rebuild yay like the commenters in the link say to. But I'm running into a different error below when building yay. Here is the full output below.
➜ yay (master) ✔ makepkg -si

Did you try setting "GOPROXY=direct" already?

Is your network connection generally working? It seems like your DNS times out

Yes I'm getting upwards of 150 Mbps
Offline
You can have a bazillion Mbps througput.
If your DNS is slow (you're using a DNS server from Charter Communications Inc, 209.18.47.61) is slow or filters you (it's not public and I don't get a response from it, so it times out) you can't resolve golang.org to an IP.
Try to configure a different DNS and/or consider a local stub resolver like dnsmasq, stubby, system-resolved, …

Wow before my /etc/resolv.conf was
nameserver 209.18.47.62
nameserver 209.18.47.61
and now after changing it to
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 1.1.1.1
everything works smoothly! Thank you!

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
Ftr, I had the geo IP of your ISP DNS (lake in kansas) in my browser history so unless that's some shell company, the IP likely has flared up in the past.
