Restore last session when waking up Hyperland

This is my first post here so I'm sorry it there is something not correct .

now I have setup of vanilla arch with hyperland

and everything is working correctly for now but when I was using plasma KDE every time I would shutdown/reboot my system and login all the browser tabs and everything that was running would open up again while this doesn't happen with hyperlan
so is there anyway to make this possible in hyperland

thanks for reading and sorry if I wasted anyone's time

Hi, and welcome to the forums!

Apparently KDE has a hibernate feature that you must have been using...

[EDIT]: (In order to be less ambigious) here's a link where hibernation (outside KDE) is explained: [/EDIT]

Re: Restore last session when waking up Hyperland

No KDE has an actual session restore mechanism that is independent of hibernation. Afaik this isn't entirely trivial and I'd be surprised if it was implemented in Hyprland (and there are actual problems with the session restore on Wayland even on Plasma, because originally a certain X extension was used for that which you can't rely on anymore)

Apparently here's a scripted workaround https://www.reddit.com/r/hyprland/comme … e_session/
