[Solved] intel-ucode.img in boot

Hi,

Since mkinitcpio now picks up the microcode files in /usr/lib/firmware/intel-ucode/ by default, does it still make sense for the the intel-ucode package to unconditionally build and install the whole intel-ucode.img to /boot ?

I can understand it can be useful sometimes, but isn't it useless for most setups?

I can probably skip it from being installed but it will still be built...

What's the nice way around this ?

Thanks !

[edit] Solved, intel-ucode.img is not built on the system, it's built at package build time. Using Noextract to skip installing is sufficient. Added note to wiki.
