nvidia 560 and arch 6.11.2 gives lots of trouble

So I just updated my system (arch 6.11.2) and nvidia-560 was apparently released as stable. Nonetheless the following problems occur :
* at boot, when X is started, the screen is all fuzzy with weird random lines. I have to re-run xrandr to make it as intended
* systemctl suspend does not work at all now, the system stops for a little while and nothing happens, no terminal output, nothing. Previous to that, I had much trouble recovering from sleep, but now it's just become impossible to go to sleep.

Is anybody experiencing the same issues ?

EDIT :  those services were already enabled but I guess when I cleaned up everything they got de-activated. Running
>> systemctl enable nvidia-suspend.service
made sleep actually possible again.

But even though I ran
>> systemctl enable nvidia-resume.service

suspend still gives a kernel panic.

"RIP: 0010:_nv012662rm+0xbd/0x130 [nvidia]"

Re: nvidia 560 and arch 6.11.2 gives lots of trouble

I just realized that systemctl sleep seems to have better results than systemctl suspend. Right now on short sleeps it works fine. I'll try some longer one and tell you in a few hours.

Re: nvidia 560 and arch 6.11.2 gives lots of trouble

Indeed a 1h sleep gives a kernel panic with the same RIP, and error code 8b 45 ...

So for me at least (1080 Ti), nvidia 560 is absolutely no progress on the sleep matter.

Re: nvidia 560 and arch 6.11.2 gives lots of trouble

Please don't bump, edit your previous post if nobody has yet responded.

nvidia is at 560xx for a while now, there're plenty of issues reg the 6.11 kernel that seem to revolve the drm stack.

For the "fuzzy weird line" situation, please post the output of "xrandr -q" before and after you fix it.
For the sleep issue, please post a complete system journal covering the incident.

"systemctl sleep" triggers the configured sleep action which in doubt is simply "systemctl suspend", "man systemctl"

Re: nvidia 560 and arch 6.11.2 gives lots of trouble

Sorry for the bump, I didn't mean it that way. For the fuzzy line issue I answered on another (maybe) related topic here : https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=2201251

Concerning my sleep issue here are the relevant parts of journalctl, it has the typical 8b 45 ... error code due to nvidia.

Please use

tags. Edit your post in this regard.

Ftr, that's a OOPS, not a panic.

I'd like to see what actually happens when you get crashes but the stacktrace also looks very much like this is the 555xx driver?? For 560xx that's actually "new" hmm

The default solution for nvidias ongoing struggles since 545xx is https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nvidia-535xx-dkms
