Plasma and other wayland sessions crashes on SDDM

Hey all! I decided to install plasma this morning with wayland. However every time I try to open the any wayland session from SDDM it's unable to start it. So far I have manually installed plasma-desktop , plasma-meta and plasma-wayland-protocols . I can only really use X11 - so i3 and plasam on X11 works - however Hyprland and plasma-wayland seem to just be stuck in boot loop (or rather imediate crashes on startup)

Hi! I did some quick google searches and stumble upon this thread openSUSE forum someone having similar issue - this suggestion seem to be working:

Thanks for the reply, however I do not believe I am experiencing the same problem as the Issue you mentioned. Firstly I do not have Nvidia card, secondly the issue states the following problems:

Hyprland is barely functioning, with visual glitches, extremely low frame rates, and poor responsiveness to input

For me Hyprland just crashes without ever starting - looks like a panic (same with Plasma-wayland).
Lastly, I am able to access both Hyprland as well as Plasma-wayland through a temporary user I made with the KDE settings as I mentioned here:

At this point I am not sure what I did wrong when creating this user. However, I do not see a any other way than to move users and copy everything over - any tips would be greatly appreciated!

There's only

and that session seems to be running? There's no indication of any crashing (wayland) session in the journal.

The session terminates immediately.
Can you log into a diffferent (new) user with a wayland session?

(The kwallet5 pam integration works later in the X11 login, so that seems to be a red herring)

I believe I may have temp fixed the issue by adding 

/etc/sddm.conf.d/10-wayland.conf
[General]
DisplayServer=wayland

as mentioned here

After creating a new Test user plasma-wayland and Hyprland both seem to be working normally.

Do you have any custom entries in your ~/.drirc?
What's the output of "printenv"?
What if you move away your ~/.config folder?

Disable OMZ, probably also starship or change your login shell to bash.
(There's no clear indication, just a veeeeeeery long track record for OMZ)
