Is it possible to save the frame layout e.g. for gimp like in this screenshot? I'm new to ion3...but I know we have some masters here
And another question arised while uploading the screenshot...is it possible to deactivate ion3s keybinding when using mc (midnight commander)

well ... the frame layout is saved automatically. But you can't have it so that ion opens some apps at start-up and they're right where you left them. I wanted something like this, but the Ion FAQ says you can't do it.

At least he saved my different workspaces...now I have one called gimp with the correct layout, just have to drop the windows into the right frames...
The second question is half solved...there is a script called switch_bindings that temporarily disables the bindings...not exactly what i wanted, but fine...better would be if I could disable the bindings just for a specific application

Another question raised...is it possible to rename workspace and why doesn't "Close Workspace" (right mousebutton) work? Does it work only on named workspaces?

Check up on winprops, you should be able to put applications where you left them.
