[SOLVED] KDE Plasma audio settings is blank/missing

Hello! First of all, I must say that this is my very first time asking for help on a forum, and english is not my native language. Anyway, if there is any missing information please ask.

I have an issue where the KDE Plasma audio settings are completely blank and don't display anything: KDE Plasma audio settings screenshot

I don't know exactly when the problem started to occur. I have had my system installed for a few months and this problem is recent.
Games or Firefox (youtube, etc) audio works perfectly, and the Plasma Applet (plasma-pa) audio setting works without any issues adjusting the sound from here: KDE Plasma audio applet screenshot
Changing the volume with the plasma-pa applet, keyboard shortcuts or pavucontrol works normally.
Still, I'm not sure but I think the KDE Plasma sound itself is not working. For example, the Fokus applet doesn't make any sound (similar problem to this reddit post, although it doesn't give much information), and changing the sound from the plasma-pa applet doesn't make any sound, even though I successfully adjusted the sound. I'm not 100% sure how to verify this other than the two cases I mentioned (which worked before I had my audio settings issue).

Also if i unplug and replug the usb antenna from the notebook the plasma audio options show information again (screenshot) but it is temporary, if i close the settings and reopen it the problem persists. The same happens if i restart the pipewire and pipewire-pulse services from systemd.

Additional information:

inxi -A output:

$ inxi -A
Audio:
  Device-1: Intel Ice Lake-LP Smart Sound Audio driver: snd_hda_intel
  Device-2: Weltrend 2.4G Wireless headset
    driver: hid-generic,snd-usb-audio,usbhid type: USB
  API: ALSA v: k6.11.2-zen1-1-zen status: kernel-api
  Server-1: PipeWire v: 1.2.5 status: active

when i run 'systemsettings' in terminal, go to audio tab and then close systemsettings, it gives this output:

$ LC_ALL=C.UTF-8 systemsettings
qt.qpa.wayland: eglSwapBuffers failed with 0x300d, surface: 0x0

Re: [SOLVED] KDE Plasma audio settings is blank/missing

I have been seeing this as well.

In System Settings, when you click on Sound the first time, the window is blank. When you click on something else, and then click on Sound again, the window is populated like normal.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, now that I notice it, if I switch between tabs and go back to the sound tab, it also appears again. It works fine that way.

Re: [SOLVED] KDE Plasma audio settings is blank/missing

The system sounds issue disappeared after upgrading to Plasma 6.2 and reboot, I don't know how that happened to be honest.
The blank issue in the sound tab still persists but it's not a major problem and can be temporarily fixed by simply switching between tabs in the system settings, so I'll mark this post as solved.

Same issue here. Thanks for the workaround!

Re: [SOLVED] KDE Plasma audio settings is blank/missing

I forgot to add, the bug was effectively fixed with the update to plasma 6.2.1 (at least for me).
