No audio no matter what i do

Hello
3 days ago i've finally switched  from manjaro to arch linux (installed thru archinstall script). I am using wayland, pipewire and hyprland and after first install everything was working, until sound just broke. First suddenly my headphones started to produce static, after a while they went completly silent and since then i havent heard any sound from my computer no matter what i did. i'v tried basically everything i could find in the internet, like reinstalling pipewire, using pulseaudio instead, adding myself to audio group, changing DE, reinstalling arch, changing nvidia drivers to nouveau and many more.  I set correct sound card as default in alsa and pavucontrol actually detects that sound is played, but i cant hear anything both when i set profile  on analog stereo duplex and analog stereo. Nothing in alsamixer is muted and auto-mute is disabled too. kernel version is Linux 6.6.56-1-lts x86_64

here is some commands outputs:

sudo fuser -fv /dev/snd/*

                     USER PID ACCESS COMMAND
/dev/snd/controlC0: akmw 654 F.... wireplumber
/dev/snd/controlC1: akmw 654 F.... wireplumber
/dev/snd/seq: akmw 653 F.... pipewire

create this file and see if that fixes it:
file:

/etc/asound.conf

file contents:

defaults.pcm.card 1
defaults.ctl.card 1

still nothing unfortunately

i dont know if this is relevant, but from curiosity i've checked if audio input is detected, and it turns out that i can record sound from microphone

Re: No audio no matter what i do

Outputs look normal at a quick glance, did you hear the white noise output from the speaker-test ?

Edit ; correct, you have to CTRL+C to stop it.
(seems to have changed from previous versions) .

and im not sure if i should post entire journalctl. theres a lot of unrelated stuff. should i use grep or something?

im starting to think its not an arch specific issue, because i booted linux mint from live usb and there was no sound too.
i thought that it could be a kernel issue too, but iv checked three diffirent kernels (6.11.3 and 6.6.54 lts on arch and 6.8 on mentioned linux mint) and i didnt have sound either.
i also found this https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … /issues/17 which describes very similar problem to mine. should i try use older arch or drivers version?

Re: No audio no matter what i do

i think its a hardware failure at this point, i had my doubts from the start when i read this part:

When troubleshooting low level issues it's unknown what is and isn't related. It's rather common for causes and error messages to be far apart in logs and not share many words.
Full journal is what's needed.
Incase you feel the log is to big, use a pastebin service .

HW failures often leave traces in system logs, full journal output helps to find those.

Not yet, but disabling fbdev by setting nvidia_drm.fbdev to 0 seems worth a try.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?

Edit: please choose a different pastebin service, pastes expiring after 8 hours make troubleshooting hard(er) .

The device id isn't listed, any idea what this usb audio device is ?
