Adding inline diagram support to wiki

Hi,

I would like to propose adding the capability for inline diagrams in the wiki, using a MediaWiki plugin such as Diagrams or one of the other plugins available.  I specifically want to add a diagram in the Sound system page showing the architecture of the sound system of a typical Arch system, but I'm sure they would be useful elsewhere too.  There are many topics that would benefit from a graphical representation of relationships.

I'm aware of Asciitext, I'm proposing a plugin because it would provide better quality diagrams and the diagrams would be easier to maintain.  I had a look at the discussion of the exclusion of images from the wiki and I think that most of the problems with images would not apply to diagrams.  It would make the server more complicated and harder to administer, which would be a valid reason to decide against it.

I'm interested in hearing others' thoughts on this.  Thanks.

Re: Adding inline diagram support to wiki

Such changes are (from the wiki side) best proposed and discussed here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ArchWi … nance_Team

If there is consensus for a change they are later to be applied in this repo: https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/archwiki

So while posting on the forum might get you some insights and opinions, I think the first link is a better fit smile
