I recently installed Arch Linux with KDE Plasma (using archinstaller). In some applications I notice some kind of graphical font glitches (see screenshots). Does anyone perhaps know how to fix this? My graphics card is a AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, but I did not set up anything special. In most of the applications (for example kate), the font looks ok.

First one looks like subpixel hinting, second one certainly also lacks antialiasing.

Can we make this a positive list?
neochat is https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/neochat/ - not some flatschpak?
Also is this plasma on wayland or plasma on X11 (and does it matter?)
Could be an xwayland related issue.

In the meantime, I found this Qt-bug. So it might affect only rendering with WebEngine (not sure if NeoChat uses it). But shouldn't many more users be affected?

Yes, NeoChat is a native package.

It is Plasma on Wayland.

Do you use fractional scaling?
Do you get the same on X11?

Do you use fractional scaling?
Yes (150%).
Do you get the same on X11?
No, it seems to be a Wayland-only problem.

If it goes away when disabling fractional scaling you've most likely found your bug.
https://archlinux.org/packages/extra-te … webengine/ is in the testing repo, NOTICE that the testing repos are always all or nothing, do not just enable extra-testing w/o core-testing and update all packages to theri testing variant if you want to try.
