HyperX QuadCast Microphone turning down it's own volume

I open pavucontrol, set the Input Device audio to 100% and then as soon as I open my mouth it drops to 83% which has the tag "Base" just below it.

How do I prevent this behavior? I just want it stuck on 100%.

Re: HyperX QuadCast Microphone turning down it's own volume

Don't do that https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Genera … es#Bumping

Is it literally when opening your mouth or are you using some mic tester/discord/browser/whatever? Most of those have some auto mic adjustment setting you'd want to disable. If it simply happens on it's own, check whether you have some physical button to disable the behaviour or HW level controls. Might want to post

arecord -lL
amixer -c0 #Replace the 0 with the index of the headset mic listed in arecord -l
pactl list sources
pactl list source-outputs
