[Solved] Naming package for a project, whose name is already taken.

Recently I made an aur package hyprpanel-git (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hyprpanel-git) for HyprPanel (https://github.com/Jas-SinghFSU/HyprPanel.git).
However, there already exist packages hyprpanel (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hyprpanel) and hyprpanel-bin (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/hyprpanel-bin) for hyprpanel (https://github.com/pdf/hyprpanel.git), which is a different project.

Is it ok that my package is so similarly named to another unrelated package? Should I rename it?

It is confusing, the only difference in the upstream names seems to be between HyprPanel and hyprpanel .

Unfortunately arch pacakge guidelines states pkgname may only have lowercase letters in pkgname.

A quick check showed archlinux devtools and pacman do work with capitals in pkgname, so it appears there is no technical limitation .
No idea if the AUR accepts them though.

Maybe ask on aur-general mailing list if the pkgname HyprPanel-git will be allowed/can be used for an aur package .

"jas-singh-hyprpanel-git" is more realistic than the only AUR package w/ capitals and it would also become a problem if the package is picked into the repos.
Maybe also ask the other package to rename "pdf-hyprpanel"

Then lament upstream about the lack of originality and not searching for collisions when starting a project
