pppd Update moves chap-secrets to chap-secrets.pacsave

Hi everyone,

while debugging why my PPTP tunnels failed to start since a few days I noticed that during the recent update to pppd-2.5.1-1 my chap-secrets got renamed to chap-secrets.pacsave and chap-secrets was missing. That was actually the reason why establishing the tunnels failed.

Is that expected behaviour?

It seems like the old version of the package contained that file while the new one did move it to another location:

$ curl -s -L https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/p/ppp/ppp-2.5.0-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst | tar -t --zstd | grep chap-secrets
etc/ppp/chap-secrets

$ pacman -F chap-secrets
extra/pptpd 1.4.0-3
    usr/share/doc/pptpd/samples/chap-secrets
