Can gnome-sound-recorder record WAV?

I like the simplicity/functionality of Gnome Sound Recorder but it doesn't seem to offer the option to record as WAV.
Am I missing something?

Re: Can gnome-sound-recorder record WAV?

The documentation says it will.  What happens if you just give it a .wav filename when you record/save?

If nothing else, it should be trivial to convert whatever it gives you to wav with ffmpeg or sox.

Re: Can gnome-sound-recorder record WAV?

Thanks for that,

The documentation is out of date and doesn't refer to the current interface.
The application only allows recording in compressed audio formats which I want to avoid.
Simply converting format will be a lossy process...

Actually, I can see the project has shifted to:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/vocalis

And there's no Arch build.
