Relatively recently after a pacman -Syu, my Linux started performing a resolution change (increasing the resolution massively) between the "Loading Linux linux..." page and the tty user login page.
This is a waste of time for me and I'd prefer if the tty used the same exact resolution as the previous "Loading Linux linux..." so that I don't have to wait for the monitors to restart/readjust to the higher resolution.
How can I disable this change and let the tty use the exact same resolution as before?

I'm not entirely sure what I should take from that. I assume you meant to refer to the section "Disabling modesetting" (because I want no change in resolution)?
I went ahead and booted with "nomodeset nouveau.modeset=0" but the resolution was still changed between "Loading Linux linux..." page and the tty user login page as I described before.
