Hey guys,
in urxvt, when I go to run alsamixer, I get this:

I also have my colors specified in .Xdefaults, but starting up urxvt gets me this:
urxvt: unable to parse color '#000000 ', using pink instead.
urxvt: unable to parse color '#b45151 ', using pink instead.

I also have the modules + fonts specified in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:
Section "Files"
RgbPath "/usr/share/X11/rgb"
ModulePath "/usr/lib/xorg/modules"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/misc"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/75dpi"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/100dpi"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/TTF"
FontPath "/usr/share/fonts/Type1"
EndSection
Every other terminal works fine.
Any idea what's up??

Notice the whitespaces after the color names in the error message. Try getting rid of those and it should be ok.

Sorry to bump an old thread.... but I'm having a similar problem. My urxvt is completely pink, but I can't seem to find any extra spaces in my .Xdefaults. When I run urxvt from another console I get the following:

Not too sure if this is the reason but I noticed in my Xdefaults I have rgb:cccc/cccc/cccc, maybe urxvt doesn't accept the color in the way you're writing it? (rgb:dd/dd/dd for example)

It worked perfectly until last night. Did a pacman upgrade, started x, pink. I don't know what could have caused it

I just got mine working...had the pink thing going on. Open your .Xdefaults in nano and change something, then change it back...then hit CTRL+O to save the file. Read what it says. Mine was asking to save in DOS Format...so I hit ALT+D until it didn't say that anymore and then saved it. Worked like a charm.
