hello friends
i want to make a command for sxhkd application.i am using enlightenment as D.E. i want to make a active window close with a keys.i have wmctrl installed it helps me maximize and minimize windows.its -c options closes windows but i am not able to properly utilize it.there is xdotools but i have no experience with it.i am trying to avoid using mouse . can anyone please give me suggestion or a command which can be used with sxhkd , with a keypress , to close the active windows.

enlightenment has its own shortcut support at least wrt window actions and certainly to close the active window.
Don't overcomplicate this.

Hello,
see if your DE is based run wayland or x11
for x11 like xfce and wayland like gnome
and most DE have a keyboard shortcut setting see if your DE have something like that search inside entry for closing window and give it a shortcut with your keyboard.
EDIT:
i GO OGLE d for keys for closing window you use
Ctrl + Alt + X (Enlightenment Desktop E25)
Close a window
Ctrl + Alt + K (Enlightenment Desktop E25)
Kill window
search on your own for other shortcuts.
