When going fullscreen on anything be it videos, applications or games my screen starts rapidly flickering almost turning off and on. I have found the cause of the problem and that is adaptive sync in the display settings when its on auto or on the problem starts appearing but when its off everything is fine.
I know this is a wayland issue since on x11 this doesn't happen. Is this caused by a buggy drivers update that will be fixed at a later date or something else is wrong?

Could be a bug in the kernel module, mesa or kwin_wayland
* test the LTS kernel
* do you have xf86-video-amdgpu installed?
* compare some other wayland compositor

Just today I updated my pc after a new mesa update and the problem's gone. Most likely it was a drivers issue.
