[SOLVED] Bluetooth speaker connects, but no longer plays audio

Running Arch Linux with KDE Plasma. I'm using Pipewire. I have a bluetooth speaker that was working just fine until I decided to change the audio profile (from "A2DP Sink, codec SBC" to "A2DP Sink, codec SBC-XQ"). Now there is no audio, the speaker connects and disconnects about twice every minute, and it's impossible to switch the audio profile back to SBC - whenever I select this profile, which is the profile that was working, everything just freezes momentarily, and then it goes back to SBC-XQ.

I have tried deleting (unpairing) the bluetooth speaker, then pairing it again, but whenever I do this it's still on SBC-XQ.

Is there a directory somewhere that can be deleted to completely reset the audio profile for my bluetooth speaker (i.e. so the audio profile isn't "remembered" after I unpair the bluetooth speaker)? How can I switch back to the A2DP Sink, codec SBC audio profile?

Re: [SOLVED] Bluetooth speaker connects, but no longer plays audio

Managed to solve the issue:

  1. Unpair the bluetooth speaker.

  2. rm -rf ~/.local/state/wireplumber

  3. Reboot, or could try: systemctl --user try-restart pipewire pipewire-pulse wireplumber{/*]

  4. Pair with the bluetooth speaker again.{/*]

After doing the above, the A2DP Sink, codec SBC was the chosen audio profile after re-pairing with the bluetooth speaker.
