Steam stop working

I'm not sure exactly when Steam stopped working, but it was sometime after I installed ZRAM and Wine, possibly 2-4 days ago (I don’t play often).

Currently, Steam’s UI won’t open. It only displays a window prompting for a restart, which leads to the same error each time. I’ve tried reinstalling Steam and all its dependencies, as well as deleting all its directories in ~/, but none of these actions have resolved the issue.

Here are my system specifications:
OS: Arch Linux x86_64
WM: Hyprland (Wayland)
Kernel: Linux 6.11.6-arch1-1
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7200U (4) @ 3.10 GHz
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 620 @ 1.00 GHz [Integrated]
Memory: 11.56 GiB
Swap: Disabled(I removed ZRAM, thinking it might be causing the issue, but this didn’t resolve it)

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Does it work on an X11 session?
What about Nothyprland (eg. weston or sway)?

I tried running Steam on i3-wm and Sway, but the issue persists, and Steam returns the same log.

The workaround for now is to run Steam with the -no-cef-sandbox option.

Did you try to disable ZRAM again (in any event and regardless, don't use it along zswap) or remove wine?

Hi,

I tried running Steam with the -no-cef-sandbox flag, but the issue persists. Additionally, I have disabled ZRAM, uninstalled Wine, and deleted all related folders in ~/, but Steam still doesn't work. I also want to note that I did not try using Zswap alongside ZRAM.

When I attempt to restart Steam with GPU acceleration disabled, I receive the following message:

"Something went wrong while displaying this content. Error Reference: Shared SteamUI_9187007_697074f1ad2227b8 Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'GetPlayer')."

Do you have more logs in /home/Press_TheFurry/.local/share/Steam/logs/cef_log.txt ?
What if you install gdb and run

DEBUGGER=gdb steam

What if you move /home/Press_TheFurry/.local/share/Steam to eg. /home/Press_TheFurry/.local/share/Steam.old and re-run steam?
