Hello everyone,
In my Arch Linux with Gnome and Nautilus Explorer only the version extcloud-client-2:3.13.3-1 of nextcloud-client works. As soon as I install a newer version, nextcloud-client no longer works. nothing happens when I click on the icon and the integration in Nautilus no longer works either.
With the current update it worked once today and after closing nexctloud-client and starting it everything seemed to work. But after a short time, however, the client hung up and after a restart of Arch Linux it no longer works at all.
I am very bad at troubleshooting.
How can I investigate what the problem is here? At the moment I have downgraded the package so that everything works again with the old version.

Could it be due to features that are no longer available in the new version?
I use the “virtual folders” feature in the version that works. I have now installed the very latest version on another computer and can no longer find this feature there.
Maybe that will cause problems. That would be tragic, I need this feature.
EDIT:
Ok the new version still supports the virtual files but they have to be activated in the .cfg file first. The new Nextcloud client works in a test VM. Next I will completely uninstall Nextcloud client on my main computer and reinstall it and see what happens.
EDIT:
Just for information. I have now simply updated with pacman -S nextcloud-client as usual. After the installation, I immediately rebooted and now, for whatever reason, everything works, solved for now.
