Hello,
Edit:__
e2: 1 day later no issues seems to have been a weird interaction. weird.
After setting options nvidia NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations= to 0, doing all updates, rebooting, trying, working fine.. I thought surely it will be bricked again when I set it to 1.
So I set it to 1 with all recent updates and it's still working and so far no issue with waking up from suspend.
what's happening? was this all just a fluke?
__edit end
with a recent update (cant say which or what package) the resume from suspend seems to be bugged as in: displays not waking up and device lost.
only workaround for me is a complete reboot which.. is painful enough for me to restore complete system to November 7th - which was before I updated system - and not having to deal with this bug.
my journal after a boot with updates and the mentioned bug.
my kernel params
options nvidia NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=1
options nvidia NVreg_TemporaryFilePath=/var/nvidiatmp
I'm aware of various issues with nvidia and resume as seen here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=293091 and solved those with help (thanks again).
Sadly not quite sure on what to do, wait it out until it gets fixed somewhere, somehow?
Do I report this anywhere - if so, where? Then again I can't be the only one on X11 KDE with Nvidia noticing this so there might already be a bug report filed?
