What GPU? General artefacts look like xf86-video-intel corruption, which is not maintained for GPUs newer than 2013 sandybridge. Remove it if it's installed.

Im on a virtual machine so it says my gpu is 00:02.0 VMware SVGA II Adapter

Which VM? Which instructions did you follow to set it up? Did you correctly configure guest utils/3D acceleration?
That's important information that you'd ideally supply in the first post.
Generalyl most VMs will not have the best graphics driver (enabled by default) so you're likely to have to do some configurations there.

Yeah i just fixed the issue lol i forgot to install the VMware graphics drivers thank you for your help
