Monitor freeze when training deep learning using pytorch, xorg

Hello,

I have three monitors, two external ones, and a laptop. The two externals are running with Nvidia driver dGPU and the laptop is using the integrated graphic iGPU.

I am using PyTorch 2.5. I know this is an Arch forum but I am not sure whether the problem is Pytorch in itself, xorg, or Linux kernel.

Every time I try to use the Nvidia GPU, the two external monitors freeze, and after a while the laptop's one as well.

I use i3wm and I have tried changing to gnome without success. However, I have also tried using Hyprland with Wayland, and the error disappeared.

It started happening 6 months ago. I have downgraded Xorg as well without success.

My Nvidia driver is 565.57.01.
