Omnivision webcam module - to make a pkg or just install

Hi, I have an Omnivision webcam my mom doesn't use anymore... I found a kernel module for it in  here : http://www.rastageeks.org/ov51x-jpeg/in … /Main_Page

The problem is I'm not sure how to make a pkg for it...
The install instructions are rather simple and I'm tempted to just run the make modules. Is that a wise course of action or should I make a package of it, and if so - how?

Thank you,
Grey

There are two modules on the website if I remember correctly. I'm using the OV519 module and it works perfectly. Can't help you on the PKGBUILD though.

Re: Omnivision webcam module - to make a pkg or just install

Making a package will make it easier to update the module when a new version comes out and also makes it easier to use for other people.
I often think of a pkgbuild as a howto that tells pacman what to do.
Instead of writing a howto with manual commands we write a howto for pacman and let it do the job.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
