Hi folks,
do you know of a problem with the archinstallscript, which is fixed in the latest release (via git) of it, but is faulty in the Archiso V: 2024.11.01?
The installation runs for a while and then gets halted by an error saying: failed to connect to user scope bus via local transport: No media found.
I (and a few friends of mine) can reproduce it, so it was no one-time-problem.
If you boot into the arch-iso and do a git clone of the latest archinstall-script all runs smooth.
So my question is: Will there be a fixed version of the archinstall-script in the next iso, or is there a fix for the 2024.11.01 planned?
Thanks a lot!

Go to the Archlinux download page and search for both the issue tracker and the mailing list. Search the issue tracker for whatever interests you and if you don't find anything, ask this question on the mailing list.
As a rule of thumb, packages are being updated for new versions of the ISO, so if archinstall has the fix in a stable release, chances are it lands in the ISO. I have no idea about freeze cycles for the ISO, so I don't know if it'll be in 2024.12, but againy chances are high, because the folks doing this are no robots and flexible enough to make decisions.
1. Search the issue tracker for your issue.
2. Bring it up on the mailing list. Folks don't read the bbs 100% of the time.
3. You're probably fine. You have a workaround, anyway.

Torxed released archinstall 3.0.1 so december iso will probably use that.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
