Hello every Arch Linux users,
I only started using it for trying out flatpak apps, it is also because i am going to use linux for the first time (I also used Kail Linux but this is off-topic)
Because of this, i installed your Arch Linux on a VM (VirtualBox) and tried installing it (without archinstall) and it worked (No secure boot or TPM support btw)
Btw the Host OS was Windows 10
This message is made thru the Host OS
Might aswell later try installing Arch Linux on bare metal
As far as so, I am enjoying Arch Linux, now before i installed Arch Linux, i installed Ubuntu but it is not my taste or my tastebuds, so I installed Arch Linux instead and its great!
It is because Arch Linux is lighter and thus, unlike Ubuntu, it can save a older laptop's life
This is why i am here, I do not plan to stop using this Distro for nothing, so might as well create a Arch Linux Forum Account
If i do need help or i am just chatting then i am online in this forum
That's the end of the message.

Hi, I'm Zachary Marwellus. Not really. I pulled this name out of my butt while writing some retro cyberpunk scifi short story about a hacker with this name in a dystopian apocalyptic world (of course) where a big fat super AI forces him to escape his own miserable universe through a interdimensional portal to end up in a (kinda) utopian world which resembles very much the scifi of the "golden era" (Asimov, Heinlein, Clark etc.). it's a fun story, where ideologies, fashion and music tastes collide frontally and bio-electronics meet positronic robot brains to blow everything up in consequence. No, it's actually a badly written nerdy mess only guys like me might get - on strong designer drugs. And not yet finished. And written in German because it's convinient, at least for me.
Besides I'm a web fullstack dev, at least I believe I'm one, it pays my bills. Next year I'll become half a century old :'-( and the world of today seems to become just the one my parents warned me about, great.
I use Arch Linux (w/ desktop env) now because I liked it from the very first moment and it seems to like me too - for now. Before I only used Linux on desktop for a while, falling back to Win again and again, because I'm a lazy, disloyal sucker. But ... this time it might be different, even a*holes like me get it when it's about time, heh.
So much about it, have fun, keep rockin'
I actually like sauerkraut.

Rostov-on-Don pouuhhh close to Mariupol E58 and E59 an not too far from Azow Sea ....
Congratuliation to your english, I'd like to know Russian the same level.
Well, AL, archlinux, seems to be a very interesting decision, but someway a
bit hard because everything is quite strict. But that way one won't learn nonsence. I'm at Raspian, the subsection of ALARM, archlinuxarm and trying to study boot-stub. The trick is one has absolutly everything on the tiny card to boot and bootmenue.
As I started from Windows3.5 I came over DOS to SuSE-linux and Debian, but this was too huge. So I got Odroid with armbian but it died silently. So i traine ALARM now:)
All the best for you from Vienna!

Hello everyone!
I've been using different distros on and off for a while and felt like it's been a long time coming for me to switch to Arch. I want to make the journey from casual consumer to someone who actually understands how Linux works and be able to custom-tool an operating system that fits my needs exactly.
I've been breaking and fixing my own computers since my parents made the mistake of letting a child touch a Dell Windows 95 machine. I don't have much in the way of schooling or professional experience, and I'm absolutely terrible at math, but the hobbyist side and customization is something I've always been interested in - the most interesting think I've tinkered with is getting Debian to run on an old Powerbook G4.
I hope I can learn from all of your experiences!

Hello,
I'm Renato Trevisan, 40; from São Paulo, Brazil. I'm a professional translator and I've been interested in Linux since the late 2000s with the Ubuntu cds. Recently I've got 100% into Linux, tried all distros possible but settled now for a clean and pure Arch install.
I hope we can become friends and help each other.
