This is another head scratcher. Recently moved to KDE from Gnome, and noticed that the mouse on the external monitor is behaving weird, that is: it looks like it's stuttering, micro lags every now and then. Interesting enough this is not happening on the laptop monitor, nor on Gnome.
This is on KDE Plasma Wayland.
No idea what could be the cause of this (also rechecked the whole 2D and 3D configuration just to be sure, but nothing changed)

Do you experience the same stuttering if you run KDE Plasma under X11? Are your display settings configured the same on KDE as they were on Gnome?

Haven't tried Plasma under X11, only Wayland so far. As for the display settings, they seem to be the same (at least regarding resolution). Anything else that I should consider checking?
another thing that might be worth mentioning: no stuttering at all when playing videos, I had a similar problem in the past due to the 2D renderer but this doesn't seem to be the case

Refresh rate is the same? No scaling is being applied?
Mouse lag is a commonly reported issue in KDE Plasma on Wayland. Try X11 and report back so we can isolate if it's the display protocol.

Same refresh rate, same scaling. Will check with x11 thanks a lot for the suggestion.
