[SOLVED] AUR package delete/merge

Hello, I search the wiki for the answer but found nothing :
  - how to delete a package? (let's say the package AAA)
  - how to merge a package? (let's say the package AAA to BBB)

Thanks smile

Re: [SOLVED] AUR package delete/merge

I see this page, but it doesn't explain how to perform the action when you're the maintainer who has to merge or delete.

Re: [SOLVED] AUR package delete/merge

login to aur, goto the page of a package and use 'submit request'

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?

I've already created the request.
I'm looking for a way to accept it. How do I delete the package or merge it?

Re: [SOLVED] AUR package delete/merge

Only AUR moderators can do that as the AUR is essentially one big database/git-repo .

Subscribe to https://lists.archlinux.org/mailman3/li … linux.org/ as that is the mailing list were requests are discussed/accepted/denied .

Requests by the maintainer of a package are often handled within days.

Ok! Thanks for the clarification smile Maybe we can add this into the wiki page, it seems pretty important and not necessarily straightforward for newcomer?

Re: [SOLVED] AUR package delete/merge

This dispatches notification emails to the current package maintainer and to the aur-requests mailing list for discussion. Package Maintainers will then either accept or reject the request.

I agree that it doesn't state clearly what will happen by who if the request is accepted.
Feel free to propose a change on the discussion page for aur submission guidelines .
