Multiple EFI boot entries -> change default

Hey. My GRUB2 creates two EFI options to choose from when I boot. One is the "normal" boot. The other (default) is some kind of "safe mode". Simply, how can I remove the "safe mode"/recovery entry. I hope to be able to do it via 'grub' configuration file at /etc/default/, because I went though a whole ordeal with the efibootmgr command and it amounted to a whole lot of nothing but a time drain.

IF you're literally talking about the UEFI NVRAM variables, then by "default" GRUB creates one single entry assuming you followed the UEFI install instructions correctly. Otherwise please post the outputs of

efibootmgr -uv
sudo grub-mkconfig

Hey, thanks for the response. I'm actually not on Arch ATM (checking out Debian—loving the Package Manager)

This recent post was as a result of a slip of morals—I know to try to keep help questions to within each Distro's specific forum. So, I'll just drop out at this juncture with apologies, and move on.

Honestly, the reason I came here was twofold: Arch users (especially the vets) tend to be some of the most knowledgeable Linux guys out there, so thought I'd get a swift and accurate response with minimal fuss. The second reason I'll keep to myself.

Again, apologies moderators for knowingly breaking rules. This, AFAIK, is specific to Debian. Of course, it can be reproduced and corrected on any GRUB2 UEFI system.
