Hello,
If I open a conversation window and my friend has an avatar set, gaim crashes. I can talk normally with people who doesn't use an avatar. The output:
Auto resize true
Auto resize true
Auto resize true
Auto resize true
The program 'gaim' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
(Details: serial 7529 error_code 11 request_code 53 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)This morning everything was working fine. How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Gustavo

What version of gaim are you using?
Have you made any package upgrades?

Gaim-svn. I have an up to date system with all repos enabled. This didn't start after a upgrade.

I had the same problem, with MSN. I went to preferences and disabled 'show buddy icon'. I'm assuming it will be fixed in an upcoming gaim-svn release.

The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'.
Doesn't this mean you don't have enough free memory?
Hail to the thief!
