Recently I got a problem that I did not own some folder, and just chowned it.
I thought that if I just chown root folder, I will get rid of all my problems at once, but after reboot it just does not work xD
It writes welcome and other terminal stuff, but when it is time to log in screen, it just shows blank screen with text writing cursor (thick line when it is ready to write something), but it is just here doing nothing

Hey
I don't know how to say this but... I think you are done for
You shouldn't be playing with permissions like that
Did you set any password for root or just sudo your main user?
Sorry pal

Boot from your install media, mount your installation's root partition on mount, go find that folder under mnt and chown it back to root.

Not important to the question, but thanks in advance for the info contained here.
Been "doing" linux including Arch for a while and never considered that chowning root would be a major problem.
So now I know. And that's some percentage of the problem.
Pointless post on my part, but thanks for heads up!
And, of course, the Arch specific solution....live medium and chroot, as usual.
