[solved] Firefox and kitty immediately crash after mesa upgrade

Just ran a pacman -Syu and Firefox, chromium and kitty immediately crash when i attempt to open them.

Firefox opens and immediately displays a crash notification.
Kitty immediately crashes
Chromium gives me a white outline only
VCS opens a grey window with no other elements

Not sure what to look at to try to resolve? I'm using sway under Wayland.

Yeah, thanks. Rolling back Mesa resolved.

How come a package in testing with an upstream fault has been released into stable?

Teaching upstream that last minute API changes in minor releases will get you a lot of angry arch users?

The minor release was probably fat-tracked after a (too) brief build/function check (upstream broke 3 days ago, the update entered testing yesterday and after a couple of hours was moved into extra while the first reports about its malfunction showed up)

Alan broke it.

You're on a bleeding edge rolling distro. It rarely happens, but it does. MUCH worse has happened in the past.

Fully resolved now with mesa 1:24.3.1-2.

For the record, im on sway/wayland using an RX570
