Those of you using open-source drivers: could you please tell me if you're getting ugly, displaced 3D graphics, such as seen in the screenshots below?
BZFlag with displaced graphics
glxgears with displaced graphics
glxgears after being dragged around the desktop
I've filed a bug report on this, and it seemed to be a driver bug, but I've seen some weird stuff after downgrading to the previous (working) version of the necessary driver, and am wondering if this is actually a bug in the new version of Mesa. It probably isn't, but it would still help to know for sure.
(Note that, if you're using a mesa or libgl-dri version before 6.5.2, posting here won't tell me anything. Same goes for those using nvidia or fglrx.)

I will check when I came home but unusual is fo me also that the GLOBS show much better results than with old drivers but shows just black window.
Try it...
I have ATI Radeon 9000.

You're using the open-source ATI drivers, not fglrx?
(Just checking...)

Yes, I use open-source ATI drivers. And at this moment I did try glxgears which running much faster than with older drivers and I have not a problem as you describe. The game I don't have.

Yes, it got faster, I noticed that too. From ~850 glxgears fps to ~930.

I don't know my results from before but now is:
13755 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2750.949 FPS
13758 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2751.558 FPS
13756 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2751.121 FPS
13761 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2752.053 FPS

Crap, so much for that. Any Intel graphics users out there, just to be sure?

Yes, Intel Mobile 945GM here with xf86-video-i810 1.7.3-2. I have no problems with glxgears, not when dragging, either. On average I have something like 833 FPS.
Edit: Just in case someone with the same graphics card reads this at some point: With better settings in xorg.conf I get 1000 FPS.

Intel 915 here. I'm not getting displaced graphics, but I have recently begun to get this message:
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x5b
do_wait: drmWaitVBlank returned -1, IRQs don't seem to be working correctly.
Try running with LIBGL_THROTTLE_REFRESH and LIBL_SYNC_REFRESH unset.
Also, Beryl has ceased working with no error messages I can make sense of.

This isn't exactly related, but i tried to use the nv drivers with libgl-dri and though I can start beryl, running any program causes X to crash out. Any ideas?

Err, the nv driver doesn't have 3d accel, does it?

Basu, pauldonnelly: try upgrading to the latest xorg-server.
Linteg: nope.

On ATI Radeon 9000 I get also message:
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b
but everything works okay. I don't have any games.
