kernel panic after upgrade to 2.6.19 from 2.6.17

Hello,

after I upgraded to kernel 2.6.19 I receive kernel panic. Have tried both earlymodules=piix, rootdelay=15. break=y option does not work.

the error message is:
No filesystem could mount root, tried:
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

grub config is:

root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz26 root=/dev/hda3 ro
initrd /initrd26.img

any help is greatly appreciated. cheers,

Re: kernel panic after upgrade to 2.6.19 from 2.6.17

you will have to rename the image name. please read the messages you get from pacman more carefully. they are also stored in pacman's logfile ;-)
