Hello,
I moved out and I found that my mic suddenly stopped working on Linux. I can confirm it still works since it does on Windows, and the problem also occurs on a brand-new mic. Oddly enough however, it works perfectly fine for my headset mic, but external USB ones do not.
I am running the latest kernel and Pipewire version, with Wireplumber and pipwire-pulse & -alsa installed. I'm on kde. I tried resetting my settings multiple times to no avail.
Looking at 'systemctl status --user pipewire', I get those errors in the log

The mic is listed on pavucontrol, tho there is no audio bar to see the current audio being recorded. It's not muted, I also checked on alsamixer.

Since when is it like this? Which kernel are you using? The normal one or special patchsets like zen or realtime? I'm asking because for this post (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=301777) a similar issue is fixed with the upcoming stable kernel.

Around a week and a half? As soon as I moved over and plugged in my tower into my new place. I use the normal kernel, but I only updated it today to see if it would change anything, I had been running 6.10.7.arch1-1 for a few months now

Also again, nothing in my system changed between the moment it was still working and when it stopped, and not all types of microphones either, my USB wireless headset works perfectly fine.
I won't exclude the possibility of hardware damage, but I find it unlikely considering everything was secured properly and there are no issues outside this specific one, and it doesn't even occur on Windows.
USB ports work fine, sound has no issues aside from this. I've tested several ports, all operational.
From the errors I've seen, it seems to come from Alsa in some way? But I wouldn't know where excatly. Sometimes after restarting pipewire and wireplumber any recording will hang the recorder if my USB mics are set as default (i.e.: arecord / audacity do not start until I change to my headset mic)

So I did a minimal side Arch install, and the problem was also present there in the same way, which *could* indeed indicate hardware damage. But then again, it works properly on Windows, so maybe some specific pipewire config might help fix that? I do not really know what values to change tho

Well anyway, I changed some settings in my motherboard BIOS, and it somehow works now so uhhh, hooray
I disable an "HD audio" thingy there in my ASUS H97 Pro motherboard, don't remember the exact name, along with some settings for USB ports that I doubt mattered.
