[SOLVED] Tiny (half-size) UI elements after update and reboot

Hello,

After an update and a reboot, my UI elements have all shrunk to half their normal size. I've included the output of `xrandr`, `xdpyinfo`, `xrdb`, and `printenv`, as well as the possibly relevant packages that were updated. Your assistance is very much appreciated.

Re: [SOLVED] Tiny (half-size) UI elements after update and reboot

I tweaked a few things and solved the issue.
- In the file .Xresources, I set

Xft.dpi = 192

- In the application xfce4-settings-manager: Appearance > Fonts > DPI > Custom DPI Setting: 192

I don't know what the cause of the original change was. I looked at the changelog for XFCE v4.20, but didn't see anything promising.

Re: [SOLVED] Tiny (half-size) UI elements after update and reboot

I got the same issue. I am using `icewm` with multple Xfce4 related applications, such as xfce4-terminal and xfce4-panel.
After the recent upgrade, all the font size are messed up.

The `.Xresources` solution doesn't work well. All the fonts become too large. So far I need to edit the `fontconfig` for the `dpi` to 96,

Adding the following to `.xprofile` as well.

export GDK_DPI_SCALE=0.8125
export QT_FONT_DPI=120

Emacs I need to set `(set-face-attribute 'default nil :height 96)`.

Chromium with `--force-device-scale-factor=1.2`

Brave I cannot solve it. That's too bad.

P/S: I have solved everything by running `xfsettingsd` at the startup, then set the Appearances > Fonts > DPI to the intended value. All the above changes were reverted.
