[SOLVED] Hyprland error while loading shared libraries: libhyprutils

Hyprland error while loading shared libraries: libhyprutils.so.1 not found

Hi guys,

I've seen a few posts here and on github regarding this issue, but every thread seemed to me like it just fizzled out and I couldn't find a solution for myself... (even though some of the threads are marked as solved)
I currently rolled back my hyprland installation by modifying pacman.conf such that [core] and [extra] use an archive server from 2024/12/20 so that it will work, but whenever I try to update it (by reverting to using my actual mirrorlist, and running

sudo pacman -Syyuu

), I get this error again.
On a couple of threads it was suggested to make a symlink from

so.1

to

so.3

to resolve this but people said it was a bad idea and will break in the future.
Others said it just takes a while for some mirrors to update but I reran reflector sorting by age so I find it hard to believe my mirrors specifically haven't been updated since it seems people stopped talking about this issue.

To be clear, after updating I can't launch hyprland, I just get this error (which I shamelessly copied from a github issue since I don't want to update again just to see it...).
Maybe I'm just being impatient? and should keep waiting for my mirrors to update? (or switch to more current ones at the cost of slower downloads?)

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Well I removed the packages not managed by pacman and it works now, I guess I did really just need to update them :\

Which mirror is top of your mirror list? How does it look on the mirror status page?

Sakura:-
Mobo: MSI MAG X570S TORPEDO MAX // Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X @4.9GHz // GFX: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT // RAM: 32GB (4x 8GB) Corsair DDR4 (@ 3000MHz) // Storage: 1x 3TB HDD, 6x 1TB SSD, 2x 120GB SSD, 1x 275GB M2 SSD

https://mirror.ufscar.br/archlinux, on the site it looks like it should be in sync.

This is the result of `pacman -Qm | grep hypr`:

hyprevents-git 24.d4397df-1
hyprland-protocols-git 0.4.0.r1.a7c1838-1
hyprlang-git 0.6.0.r1.gf7acd5da-1
hyprprop-git 23.f106bbd-1
hyprshot 1.3.0-1
libastal-hyprland-git r671.6c84b64-1

At least hyprlang will break for this but generally you'll have to rebuild your AUR packages after (such) updates.
