I had installed https://github.com/bayasdev/envycontrol, as mentioned in the arch wiki and switched mode to dedicated using
sudo envycontrol
I have the normal linux kernel, AMDGPU with dedicated NVIDIA2
after rebooting, the login manager does not show and trying to use
dbus-run-session startplasma-wayland
with "Error while sending AddMatch() message: The connection is closed"
xrandr shows no display found
I tried fixing it by-
1) Reinstalling GDM
2) Reinstalling nvidia-open and nvidia-utils
3) blocking amdgpu in blacklists
I've come up blank and any help would be greatly appreciated
After installing nvidia-open, nvidia-smi cannot communicate with the driver
PS - I can send more logs if there's a way to export them from a TTY (i still have internet)

I'd love to, but for reasons far beyond my comprehension i got blocked after trying to upload lspci -s 05:00 -tv
Piping the output to 0x0.st would return a (invalid) csv file, and trying to echo it to a file and then piping it got me a 451 for illegal content

Unless you attach an output to the nvidia GPU or can rewire the outputs in the firmware (by disabling the APU there) you have to use the APU in some capacity to provide the CRTC hub, yes.
