Hi!
EDIT: Ignore this post. Read further down.
I have bees using setxkbmap to switch between norwegian and english keyboard layout.
But for about a couple of weeks, it haven't been working properly
It works in a terminal. There I can change keybord layout. But in gvim, Firefox, Opera, Thunderbird, Openoffice, there is no change when running the command.
They use the layout present when the application was started. It doesen't want to switch when they are running.
Running an updated ArchLinux distro with E-17.
Any idea what the problem might be?

An alternate solution:
Use something like this in your xorg.conf:
Option "XkbLayout" "us,ca(fr)"
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:shifts_toggle"Replace us and ca(fr) by the keyboards you want to use. To switch between keyboards, press the 2 shift keys at the same time.

Now it don't work anymore. Does anyone know what might be wrong? There is nothing in the xorg.log file that indicate any problems.

What's your current xorg keyboard config?
Also, you may try to downgrade to xkeyboard-config-0.6.

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard1"
Driver "kbd"
Option "AutoRepeat" "500 30"
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "us,no"
Option "XkbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll"
EndSectionThe problem startet at the same time as xkeyboard was updated. Where can I find an old version? For some reason it was not in my cache anymore. I have not flushed my cache
