Issue with mouse input in Hades using Hyprland

Here is a video of the issue here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avvPNenmrj0

When i use 1920x1080 resolution which is my monitor size, there is a very noticeable delay when hovering my mouse over things in the menu. This also happens in game too with certain popups. When i change the resolution to something smaller, the game works fine.

I am running the game with Proton Experimental but i have tested it out with previous versions too. I am using no launch options.

Try running the game in fullscreen mode.
If it defaults to borderless you can propably get it to launch in fullscreen with a launch option.

The only way I found to make it work is to keep the window, well, windowed. No fullscreen. This is kinda sad however, and if you ever find a good solution, I'd love to hear it !

I come bearing good news! You can use gamescope to fix this issue.

Re: Issue with mouse input in Hades using Hyprland

This feels like it could be solved with workspace rules.  Maybe something like:

windowrulev2 = tag +games, class:^(steam_app_\d+)$
windowrulev2 = fullscreen, tag:games*

That's kinda what I do, well, the games themselves I set as windowed and let hyprland take care of the fullscreen part.  This will work for steam games.  You can add more lines like the first rule to add other types of games.  I personally don't care for gamescope.  It is good for sorting out modal window woes but you take a hit using gamescope, from my observations anyway.  For modal windows you just need to set up a way to move any pesky modal you want to hold on to to a special workspace or something like that, but I'm getting off topic now.
