Can't play brawlhalla because of proton read access denied?

Usually I get this error spammed 100 times before it ends up saying something like this:

wine: Read access denied for device L"\\??\\Z:\\", FS volume label and serial are not available.
wine: Read access denied for device L"\\??\\Z:\\", FS volume label and serial are not available.
wine: Read access denied for device L"\\??\\Z:\\", FS volume label and serial are not available.

I have Intel HD 3000 and i5-2450M

I'm new so I don't know what more details to provide

sounds like you using flatpak version of steam - don'T - remove it and use the standard package from multilib repo
