Audio may stop working briefly or take a few moments to play

Hello,

I had installed Arch Linux onto my desktop computer about a month ago, everything is working as expected, except for audio.

Whenever any media with audio plays, there is no audio present for the first few seconds, then after that, the audio plays normally for the most part. Whenever there isn't any audio playing, its as if the speakers turn off, and this may be evident as they make a popping noise a few seconds after any audio stops playing. When audio is played for a long duration, occasionally the speakers may
'Turn off' for a second or two, accompanied by the speakers popping, before returning to normal again for a while.

The issue has become irritating and I haven't pinpointed any real way to fix it, so any help would be much appreciated.

System: KDE Plasma on Wayland

Audio system details:

Output: HDMI/Displayport Monitor Digital Stereo

Sound driver: Pipewire

Re: Audio may stop working briefly or take a few moments to play

I have created and modified the respective files, however it unfortunately didn't make any difference.

Re: Audio may stop working briefly or take a few moments to play

sorry that last command didnt work, you need to install "sysfsutils"

sudo pacman -S sysfsutils

then this should output the info i need:

systool -v -m snd_hda_intel

Re: Audio may stop working briefly or take a few moments to play

that all looks good, power saving is off, and you say its still turning itself off ?
is there anything useful in the journal/dmesg while this happens ?
also a stab in the dark try installing "sof-firmware" as its required for some newer systems

EDIT: i see you already have sof-firmware installed

Using journalctl | grep snd_hda_intel, the log gets spammed with this message:

And yes, I do have sof-firmware installed and up to date, I reinstalled it just in case.

Re: Audio may stop working briefly or take a few moments to play

The interesting thing of that message is the long stack trace following  it as well as the actual error message before it. post a full journal

sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st

when the issue occurs.
