go ahead and add the problematic packages to your IgnorePkg list in

/etc/pacman.conf

for example:

IgnorePkg = nettle ppp

you may need to uncomment the IgnorePkg line, it's not enabled by default. this should work as a temporary solution until something happens with lib32-nettle.

EDIT: ahhh sorry!!! i forgot that this is literally just a partial upgrade tactic which is dangerous!!!!

The issue with ppp and dependants is a bug, see https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … -/issues/1

Nettle however should work, do you perhaps not have the "multilib-testing" repo enabled? As the wiki states, once you have one testing repo enabled you need all of them ...

multilib-testing repo enabled and today I got the update for lib32-nettle, but yesterday it was not.

Do *not* do this. That is a partial upgrade which involves a core package and can potentially cause severe breakage.
