Good to know. How one could find it in this case? If it was in official package, I would find the binary via `pacman -Fy edid-decode`.
But in the case of AUR I would not find it without your help.

The link I posted is the aur-requests mailing list, whenever an action such as merging/orphaning or deleting an AUR package is performed, chances are someone requested that for some reason, so you could follow/subscribe to that mailing list.
