[solved] System unusably slow after resume from suspend

I've been seeing this more frequently recently, after a resume from suspend my system is unusably snow. Typically the system takes 15-20 seconds to respond to an interaction, the only recourse being a forced reboot.

The log from the previous 10 minutes after the system has rebooted from a forced restart is here

A couple of things stand out -

I might try a non-lts kernel as my next step. Has anyone seen anything like this recently?

You're probably falling into https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=290126&p=8
You could try to deactivate the VRAM preservation, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA … er_suspend
Disable all related services and add "nvidia.NVreg_PreserveVideoMemoryAllocations=0" to the kernel parameters.

GDM/gnome will respond to that by denying you a wayland session -> see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GDM#Wa … DIA_driver and mask the udev rule.

It looks like that is indeed the problem, unfortunately disabling VRAM preservation makes Resume unuseable. I'll log it with NVIDIA.
